Why does Oasis Texas Brewing Company have a door fee?

We introduced our door fee to ensure that guests who are dining with us have space to fully enjoy their experience—especially during our popular sunset hours. Based on guest feedback, we found that many tables and viewing areas were being occupied by visitors who were not purchasing food or drinks, which limited space for our paying guests.

How does it work?

When you arrive, we start a tab with a $10 credit card hold per adult. Once you spend at least $10 per person on food or beverages, the hold is removed, and you only pay for what you ordered.

Do I lose the $10 if i don’t spend it?

If the $10 minimum is not met, the hold will be applied as a charge. If you do meet the minimum, the hold simply disappears.

what is the door fee?

Our door fee functions as a $10 minimum spend per adult, not an additional charge. You simply start a tab. If you don’t spend at least $10 per adult (the cost of one of our amazing beers), we hold onto the door fee. As long as you spend at least $10 per adult, you only pay for what you eat and drink! Easy peasy!

When did this start?

We rolled out this improvement in our guest experience in May of 2025 (Memorial Day). After a record-breaking (and very busy) weekend with a lot of positive guest feedback, we decided to keep our new policy moving forward.

When is the door fee/minimum purchase applied?

The minimum spend is typically implemented during high-traffic times, such as sunset hours, weekends, holidays, and special events, to help manage space and accommodate our paying customers.

What is this goal of this policy?

Our goal is to create the best possible experience for guests who choose to dine with us.

This includes ensuring access to seating, service, and those iconic Lake Travis sunset views.
